DDU BUNKER SYSTEM

BUNKER BUILDING SYSTEM

Unique to DDU is a custom made underground bunker building alternative to blocking off buildings in an attempt to reduce base lag bubbles.

You will need a BunkerHatch Kit – 1.24 – Purchasable from Kumyrna Trader.

Tools – Shovel for bunker hatch deployment and shovelling dirt,  pickaxe – for digging segments, hatchet – dismantle and building segment supports.

The hatch and bunker requires – 10 logs, 10 planks + 30 Nails (bunker support), the hatch covering requires 10 x SheetMetal.

Bunker hatches cannot be deployed in existing or under existing buildings.  They can only be deployed on map grass/terrain.

Once you have your kit.

1.Deploy the hatch where you want to have it.

2. Using your SHOVEL, dig your bunker in.  Your bunker will have a big black hole. *You may get hand bugged with a shovel – relog will fix.*

3. Add your Bunker Support resources – 10 logs, 10 planks + 30 Nails (bunker support) + use a HATCHET to build.  Your black hole will have a ladder, you can now enter the bunker but it will be dark so have a headtorch, gas lamp or chemlights with you.

4. You can now enter the bunker but your hatch needs a covering.  Add 10 X SheetMetal to the bunker vicinity tab + HATCHET to hand to build your hatch covering.

5. You can now attach a combo lock after setting a pin to the hatch for a secure bunker.

The option to Enter scan be scrolled thru the F prompt

If you cannot dig or drag items to hand, please relog, the shovel will be bugged in your hands.

BUNKER SEGMENTS

When you first create your bunker you will enter into a small mine shaft cavern area, this is a supported bunker segment.

To extend past the initial segment you will need to dismantle a support wall with a HATCHET.

You then need to use a PICKAXE to dig at the rockwall to extend your segment.

This will create a new cavern area with 3 dirt piles.

You will need to use your SHOVEL to clear each dirt pile for a clear new segment.

Segments must be fully supported or the dirt piles you removed will slide/cave in after a period of time (short).

Build your segment support – 10 logs, 10 planks + 30 Nails (bunker support) for the roof and walls.

UPGRADE TO CONCRETE

If you want to have the strength of concrete and better lighting  you will need to get Cement mix + use the cement mixer located at NWAF somewhere.  You will need a truck or car battery + wire for connectivity, the mixer will make 10 x Cinderblocks from 1 bag.

With a bag of MORTAR and 10 x Cinderblocks, attach these to your support wall inventory and using a SHOVEL you can upgrade your segment into concrete. Concrete walls can be dug out (extended) internally soft sided. They cannot be dug into externally if concrete! They can be dug into if left just with supports.

BUNKER LIGHTING

9V batteries can get drained using night vision and it’s always going to be dark in your bunker base.

To create soft lighting

1 x Metal Wire, 1 x Electronic Repair Kit into the Wiring inventory tab.

PLIERS in hand, you will get the prompt to wire your bunker electrics.

Using a car HEADLIGHT, attach it to the bulb slot and TURN ON your lighting.

RAIDING BUNKERS

Bunker hatches – require 2 x C4 sticks (vanilla) to blast the hatch and lock off

Concrete walls can be raided with alot of vanilla C4 or by heavy ballistic/projectile.

RAIDING

Ballistic, and explosive damage exists for Vanilla base building and Bunker bases.

Explosive damage may affect base structures in very close proximity ( blast radius).  Try not to build your gates too close together! 1.5m is ideal!

Concrete walls can be raided with alot of vanilla C4 or by heavy ballistic/projectile.

Under no circumstances are players to glitch or exploit bugs/game mechanics to their advantage. If you unintentionally find yourself in a situation, submit a support ticket.
